Functional Description
a. Power factor corrector: The power factor corrector is an active component which is able to transform high or low mains voltage to a nominal output voltage. It draws a pure sinusoidal current no matter how the load current looks. Inverter: The inverter handles both the charging of the batteries and the supply of the load. Batteries: In case of a total power failure the energy will be taken from the built-in batteries. If the power failure is of a longer duration than the batteries are dimensioned for, the UPS can start a fully controlled shut-down of the connected computer system.
